as memory of my 30th birthday I took 15 portraits of my cloests friends on 4x5” film. It’s an attempt to document the state of what is around me facing the nature of aging.

Analog Dialog

Stepping in front of the camera is, to me, an act of quiet courage. While I have always felt more at ease behind the lens, I am deeply aware of the vulnerability that comes with becoming the subject. In a time where posing often feels habitual, this rawness risks being overlooked. Analog Dialog seeks to reclaim that moment - approaching portraiture as a space of presence rather than performance. The series can be understood as a multidimensional portrait, offering a glimpse beyond the image itself and into the thoughts, emotions, and inner landscapes of those in front of the camera.
